The Ahafo Region is newly established in Ghana, with Goaso as its capital. It is bordered by the Bono Region to the north, Ashanti Region to the east, and Western North Region to the south, and consists of seven districts. The region is part of Ghana’s forest belt, characterized by fertile soil and savannah vegetation, featuring drought-resistant trees like baobabs and acacias.

Asumura White-Necked Rock Fowl Conservation: This site, located near Akrodie, is home to the rare white-necked rock fowl, renowned among birders for its unique appearance and nesting habits.
Adekyem Festival: Celebrated in November by the Bechem people, this festival commemorates historical events from the town’s founding. It emphasizes community development through quality education, transitioning from past military celebrations to modern educational initiatives. Donations are collected during the festival for local educational development.
