The Bono East Region is newly established in Ghana, formed from the former Brong Ahafo Region. The capital is Techiman, and the region spans an area of 22,952 square kilometres with a population of around 1 million.
The Bono East Region borders on the north the Savannah Region, on the west the Bono Region, on the south the Ashanti region and on the east the Volta Lake

Kintampo Waterfalls: Located 4 km from Kintampo, the waterfalls drop 70 meters in three stages, with accessible paths allowing visitors to experience this natural beauty.
