CHOCOLATE DAY 2020
The 2020 Chocolate Day activities will be held under the theme: “My Chocolate Experience, My holistic Wellbeing”. This annual celebration is a partnership between the Ghana Tourism Authority, Ghana Cocoa Board and the Cocoa Processing Company (CPC). Partnering this year’s event are Chocolatiers like 57Chocolate, Niche Cocoa and Cocoa liquor manufacturer GIHOC Distilleries.

COMPETITIONS
1. Chocolate Day Photo Competition
Elorm Ntem emerged the winner of the photo competition and she took home a lovely hamper from CPC and partners.
The Photo Competition required the public to:
- Take a picture of yourself enjoying any Made-In-Ghana cocoa or chocolate product.

#EatGhanaNote: Persons with the most interesting and engaging posts was and awarded on 14th February 2020 at Alisa Hotel where this year’s National Chocolate Day will be held.
2. Chocolate Day Cocoa Art Competition
Derrick Okanta won the 2020 My Cocoa story competition with his artwork illustration of Tetteh Quarshie hoding a cocoa pod and a superimposed cycle of the process cocoa seed goes through to final product. He went home with a cash price of GHS 3,000.00.
Cocoa is an essential part of the Ghanaian story with its unique history and socio-economic benefits.
Artists were required to produce an art piece (painting) that will depict the theme “MY COCOA STORY”.
Requirements:
Open to Ghanaians 18 years and above
Medium: Canvas A2 (16.5″ x 23.4″) size and above
Media: Oil, Acrylic, watercolour

About Chocolate Day
The National Chocolate Day Celebration was instituted in 2005 to coincide with Valentine’s Day which falls on 14th February every year to boost the domestic consumption of Ghana chocolate and other cocoa-based products, promote domestic tourism and give a healthy orientation to the celebration of Valentine’s Day in Ghana in collaboration with Cocoa Processing Company, Ghana Cocoa Board and Cocoa producing Companies.
