The legendary Ghanaian rhythm comes to life in most cities and major towns after working hours where you can #feelghana. The Ghanaian warmth and culture extend to our buzzing bars and pubs, nightclubs and drinking spots where African rhythm is usually alive. Experience the real #feelghana moments by visiting any of the numerous locations where you enjoy live-band music of #highlife, #hiplife or even take dance lessons in highlife, salsa, Kpanlogo or Boborbo where you could dance the night away as you enjoy drinks with friends or while making new friends.
On weekends, you can see permission which would gladly be granted with a smile to join the ever-growing Boborbo groups that meet along the streets to play authentic #boborbo music and dance. Just make sure you have enough energy because using exercise or fatigue to describe these sessions is an understatement.
If its serene and quiet environment that you want, Accra and the major cities have places where you can enjoy soothing, unobtrusive music for your evening’s relaxation. Otherwise, you could also join ordinary people at any pub after work where it’s likely a live football match is being screened. Feel free to join the discussions where players are either hailed or hooted in a heated passionate but friendly manner.
Is betting your thing? Find your luck in the cities’ casinos or many numerous sports betting centres dotted in the major towns and go back home richer than you came.
Ghanaians ‘loooooove’ to party and almost every gathering is an opportunity to squeeze in some partying, be it funeral or just friends meet-up, there is sure to be chilled drinks with incessant variety from beers, whisky, brandy, carbonated drinks and don’t be shy to ask for local versions of each which come with authentic Ghanaian taste.

This is one of my favourite places to get Ghanaian dishes, they’ve got a good selection on well made local food as well as other varieties. There are two screens in the outside seating area in case you’d like to watch a sports game while you eat and or drink. And finally, the attendants are quite friendly as well and ready to serve with smiles. – Sam Ako(google review)

Quaint space with a varied menu. Excellent selection of wines. Great for a quick bite, a meeting or even a date. Sign up to their mailing list or follow them on social media for details of their many events. Not just wine tastings but poetry readings, pop up shops etc – Kaye Dz
Very intimate space. Good use of a small space. Very quiet. Great food. So great that the chef came out himself to confirm from me exactly what I wanted. Chicken wings were super tasty especially with the spicy sauce made using cayenne pepper. Perfection! – Adjo Kisser

This was the first time in about a year I’d been there. I like the renovation. They already had the main pub and smoking room, but now they’ve added a pool room and outside seating. We sat outside and it took us a while to be attended to. The service is definitely not as good as if we were inside (the waitresses don’t come around as often). Despite this, I enjoyed the outdoor seating because I have able to have a nice chill evening out despite the fact that I went during the FA Cup final and stayed through to Saturday night karaoke.- Khadija Hiadzi

This is really a great place to hang out. I’ll advise to visit it on Friday night’s and you’ll be lucky to enjoy good sampled music from some of the best DJs. It’s a nice environment and people here are often friendly. Great bar services and food. It’s really a good place to hang with friends and even if you’re alone. It’s not quite spacious but you’ll love it. It has an upstairs bar as well. Kona is a great place for a nice night out – Franklin Edem Nukpeku
