The Ghana National Mosque Complex is the gift from the people of Turkey to Ghanaian Muslim Community. The architecture of this complex is based on the master pieces of Turkish-Islamic Civilization.
The complex includes a grand mosque in the center, surrounded by the buildings for the Office of the National Chief Imam of Ghana, Office of the Hudai Foundation, library, auditorium, conference and seminar rooms, senior high school, dormitory, clinic, guest rooms, dining hall, washrooms, ablution fountains, slaughter house and a large parking lot.
This grand complex was built between 2012-2021 through the joint work of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Office of the National Chief Imam of Ghana, The Diyanet Foundation of Turkey, Human Development International (HUDAI) Foundation, ISAR Foundation and Ghana Friendship and Solidarity Association (GANADER) as a symbol of the fellowship between Ghana and Turkey.
The Ghana National Mosque complex is open to the public between the hours of 8:30am to 4:00pm every day.
Tourists who comes on Fridays between 12:00pm to 2:00pm would wait at the waiting room for Muslims to finish observing Friday congregational prayer.
