Feast Ghana – A Culinary Celebration of the Diversity of Ghana
About The Event
Feast Ghana is a grand culinary celebration dedicated to commemorating Ghana’s cultural diversity, and heritage. Feast Ghana aims to bring together Ghanaians of all ages, food enthusiasts, cultural enthusiasts, and history buffs to celebrate the unity, diversity, and peace through the art of food.
It also forms part of activities honouring Otumfuo’s 25th anniversary. The event, organized by the Ghana Tourism Authority and its partners, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, the Asanteman Queenmothers Association, Verna Water and other partners will showcase the rich culinary heritage of Ghana, with a special focus on Asanteman as part of the celebrations.
Activities
17th April 2024 – the Official launch & Rep Your Region – featuring the Ladies Club of GTA in all regions. The media event will be held in Accra at the Tourist Information center.
- The event will mark the official launch of Feast Ghana, introducing the community to the concept of a culinary celebration.
- Guests will enjoy a preview of the culinary delights to come, with traditional dishes and culinary experiences highlighting Ghana’s heritage.
22nd April 2024 – Feast Ghana in Asanteman
As Part of Otumfuo’s 25th Anniversary will be held at Manhyia Palace
- Feast Ghana in Ashanti will be a special event within the overarching Feast Ghana celebration, focusing on the culinary traditions of Asanteman.
- Attendees will experience a showcase of Asante cuisine from all the paramouncies, traditional dishes, and culinary demonstrations paying tribute to the region’s rich heritage.
In partnership with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, there will be a special showcase of the various produce from the various areas and how it moves from farm to table.
– The event will feature a queenmothers durbar in honour of Otumfuo, local artists, cultural displays, and performances as part of the celebrations honoring Otumfuo’s 25th anniversary.
1st May 2024 – FEAST Ghana Grand Celebration
The grand celebration of Feast Ghana will be held on May Day at the Accra International Conference Center, in collaboration with the PSWU of TUC. This final event promises to be a memorable showcase of Ghana’s local foods, emphasizing unity, diversity, and the vibrant spirit of our people.
The event is expected to cos some three thousand (3000) attendees who would experience traditional dishes, culinary delights, and a celebrate Ghana’s heritage throughout the journey of Feast Ghana.
