History of Caravan
Since its inception in 2016, the Heritage Caravan has embarked on a captivating journey across every region of Ghana. Along the way, it has explored iconic sites that resonate with the nation’s rich history and culture. These include:
- Mole National Park: A pristine wilderness teeming with wildlife.
- Military Museum: A tribute to Ghana’s military heritage.
- Bonwire Kente Exhibition (located in the Ashanti Region): Showcasing the vibrant artistry of Kente cloth.
- Slave Memorial at Assin Manso: A solemn reminder of Ghana’s painful past.
- Elmina Castle: A historic fortress that witnessed the transatlantic slave trade.
- Larabanga Mosque: An architectural marvel with centuries-old roots.
- Nzulezu: An enchanting village built on stilts above Lake Tadane.
- Paga Crocodile Pond: Home to fascinating crocodiles.
